Each Fleur de Lis is hand painted to enhance it’s unique beauty. Made of stoneware clay fired to 2100 degrees F make this work of art one of the hardest ceramic surfaces. Chiasson has been exploring her Acadian roots in clay since 2014 for her Artist in Residency at the Fortress of Louisbourg for won the Grand Pre Prize from Arts Nova Scotia.
